Already done injector washers and seals when i did head gasket...Renewed the fuel pressure regulator to. Gonna do air bleed valve and non return valve next week..:D

Hi all, I,m sure i,ve posted about this before but cant remember where it is so here we go again. I,ve got a problem with cold starting on a T reg(98) TD5. It has to have some throttle first thing in the morning to get started but after that it starts fine all day... Any info would be great...

Already reset it thanks...Everything is fine now so could have possibly been the weather...Been terrible down here in sunny Kent...GB. Monsoon type rain and winds, thunder lightning ect..

I would do matey but i just been out in it and its got the same problem again so proceedure did not work aafter all that... i,ll try it again later and post the proceedure..

Arms the alarm too...So if you just unlock it with the key as soon as you open the door alarm goes off... Wife has just sorted it though...Bless her...She found a EKA reset code proceedure on the web and everything is fine now... Apparently this code works on a multitude of land Rovers...Did,nt...

Vehicle electrics are not my strong point so it looks like its gonna get expensive... Can lock and unlock it with key but this does not turn off immobiliser so alarm goes off all the time.. :confused::confused:

Hi all, Got an annoying problem with immobiliser/central locking on my TD5. Unlocks/locks when it feels like it on the key fob... Changed batteries in both key fobs and still it seems it will lock or unlock when it feels like it. Never had this problem before today...

Hi all, Got an annoying diesel leak from the Fuel Pressure Regulator that's really getting up my nose.. Changed the gasket and it was fine for about a month... Now its leaking again and i,m beginning to suspect the FPR diaphragm. I have been told this is a common fault with TD5s but...

Adjusted the valve clearences and my motor is spot on...Turned out i'd got the clearences wrong by at least 3 quarters of a turn on three valves.:):):):):)

Mine started off like that and it turned out it was the head gasket that had failed...

Or the clearances are wrong on one or two maybe?? Yes??

Just a thought,,, I have,nt tightened down the injector clamp bolts since doing the H/G....Plus the valve clearences are slightly out...You can hear one or two of then knocking slightly and its like the timing is fractionaly out...Would/Could this be my starting problems...

After the first initial start in the morning its fine...Starts on the button with no throttle...As it should.

Its been a bit of a problem to start in the mornings since i bought it last year. Its just i have to pump the pedal 3 times in the morning then hold it at half throttle till it fires up...Not too much of a problem really, just an annoying one.:confused:
