now im confused, just when i thought i got it. distributor is numbered 1-4..... on the block facing windsceen - 1- 4 on block is from left to right. so when you say 1-3-4-2 you mean - no 1 on block goes to no 1 on cap no 2 on block goes to no 3 on cap no 3 on block goes to no 4 on...

Hi peeps, after a reccomendation by the AA, i had to change my distributor cap and rotor arm. piece of pXXX i know. but i disconnected the leads of the old distributor cap without noting which went where. i refered to my haynes and it says "note which leads go where" lol... i know the cap is...

Thats reassuring mate, that it could be the brakes, alot cheaper than propshafts n vc or cvs whatever that is.... ill give that a go.... hopefully thats what it is, alough there's no resistance when pulling away wiv the handbrake off. i can still pull away without using the accelerator....

Drove me freelander today - noticed a grinding/scraping noise, placing my hand on handbrake and it feels like thats where its coming from, it only does it when moving, at any speed, even with the clutch down.... i checked underneath and nothing seems out of place or touching the propshaft...

Took the easy way out n bought a new battery, cost me "60 notes", just gotta wait n see if it goes flat, if it does then ill take it in for testing, At least i know the battery's ok.
