HI all can anyone tell me is there a quick way of advancing the timing on a 200tdi. on the old series you just slackend the three bolts and twisted the pump slightly. Laurie.

Weld a nut to it that will work as the heat helps it to move. Laurie.

Hi Sean sorted it, it was just me being dumb had a cup of tea and though about it i had not ajusted the bearings enough fits on now but no room for any shims.will run it a day and check for any play. thanks again.

Just done the swivle ball on 300 Disco all back together now apart from the horse shoe clip in the end of shaft it just a few mil from going on screwed a bolt in end of shaft tryed pulling it that did not work. done 200discos before no horse shoe HELP.

hi there glad you got it sorted as i had the same problem but i was in Spain, had a sender unit at home on a scrapper but no good there, so cleaned the pipe up with emmery paper dryed it with kitchen paper/grease remover hand wipes,, got some epoxy resin the sort you mix with two tubes.placed...

Take top plate off under the rear carpet

Check that the return pipe is not leaking at the top of tank some times you can get a pin prick hole in the metal pipe and this will spray or drip on the top of the tank were it goes into the sender unit.
