    Ride height advise needed

Got a bit of a lean on me 2001 td5 es. I've noticed over the last few weeks that it seemed to be sitting a bit skewwif. What I have done is start the car to see if it pumps up the rear air suspension, but it didnt. I guessed the problem was front end related so I measured the gaps between top...

    Parts recommendations

I'm looking at replacing the front discs/pads and the drag link ball joint on my 2001 td5 es, as they were given as advisories on the recent MOT. My question is whether there is any noticeable difference in the parts that are purchased. Just been looking on Prancers site and the discs vary...

    TD5 ES CD Changer woes

OK I've re-arranged the discs but to no avail. I will try the cleaning disc but how will that work if the the changer is constantly saying "no disc" Does the cleaner have some sort of encryption so that the player knows its not a music cd?

    TD5 ES CD Changer woes

The CD Changer/head unit in my 2001 TD5 Es has all of a sudden started telling me that there are no discs inserted. I was quite happily listening to a CD and decided to skip onto the next one and the head unit said "no disc". I have tried switching ignition on/off, taking out the disc cartridge...

    paint job

Well I personally would try to stay pretty close to the LR green colour, its classic really and if you ever wanted to sell, its not going to put anyone interested in it, as possibly a different colour would. either that or nato green seems pretty good, but the dark green is my personal...

    paint job

Yeah I think the sad thing about it is that most people just see it as "an old motor" so they dont give a fook. I had a mate who owned a 1954 "barndoor" VW samba, rare as **** at the best of times being worth up to £40k believe it or not. His one was still in the original paint, no dents, no...

    paint job

Leave it og paint, at least you wont **** yourself everytime you park it wondering if some numpty is gonna scratch it... We have a 1963 VW splitscreen camper, all shiny and chrome, defo cant park that up anywhere we want cause you know its going to get damaged, however, our 72 series 3 that was...

    rust.

Hows about trying summit called "anchor wax" Its commonly used within the classic VW scene for preserving the patina/og paint on splitscreen vans 1949-1967. I bought 5 litres off a gadgy of a forum site About the Split Screen Van Club a few years back when I had a 67 splitscreen VW bus that was...

    Fuel Block??

Only trouble is that it failed MOT on diesel leak so I had to get them to do it.

    SRS Light

Under the drivers seat, I think there was one under the passenger one aswell, cant remember but I'll have a look later.

    Fuel Block??

Just had a look in the Haynes, I reckon its the fuel pressure regulator. Famous Four do it for £72.50 + p&p, main dealer do it for £79.57 + vat so I suppose TJC are not doing me any favours but not stiching me up either. Apparently the front discs are getting low and the drag link track rod end...

    Fuel Block??

Yeah and she had to go and ask the fitter, I bet he said nothing like that

    Fuel Block??

Right, its apparently the fuel pressure block that sits at the side of the engine.

    Fuel Block??

Dunno where its leaking from. I noticed when I dropped it off this morning that there were spots on the spare wheel cover and I washed it yesterday so that must be the diesel. I have noticed a smell of fuel sometimes coming from where the sedimenter is and I've had to empty it a couple of...
