If it's just weeping a bit I wouldn't bother replacing it, unless it's squeaking - the usual sign it's about to give up the ghost... If it's leaking badly it could be cover plate is corroded especially if previous owner has run it on neat water, so have some silicone to hand for that also.

Going for another spin just now has raised another point, with the increased boost pressure, I can now feel turbo lag on quick gear changes, has anyone here fitted a dump valve mod? if so, any good?

Lenny you should be able to see whether your vlave is stuck open by removing the hose from the egr valve assy and the intercooler. I've just bought an ally section that replaces the valve assy completely - giving larger bore less restricted flow thru to the inlet manifold, from mr bell...

obviously there is no mute button on the steering wheel controls, and they are wired into the stereo sockets directly, however according to the wiring diagram for hardon systm the 2 wires that come from the steering wheel controls to the head unit are gray with red trace and green with black...

Press 1 button to mute sound - saves turning volume knob which can be very tiring at times :D Also auto-mutes when wired into mobiles / carphone kits when they ring.

So not associated with going over any bumps, or indicating or pressing horn, turning leftetc etc etc, gonna make it difficult to isolate the problem if it is truely 'random'.

Did you have it all done in one go cornish?

I've had long discussions on it in 2 other threads recently myself, my way of looking at it is - that it can't possibly do any harm to remove it, will make the engine cleaner, is 1 less thing to go wrong and should in theory make the engine more responsive under certain limited conditions...

7 hours of driving later I'm home again...the story so far; Had the chip replaced and programmed to a sensible high torque curve (could have taken it further apparently, but could start smoking under heavy load) so opted for sensible to start with - mapping between 30 and 48% higher torque...

Yes you just pull the arm out to the spare and then push the wiper blade towards the screen (away from you), did mine the other day while my mate gave me a **** coincidentally enough :D

ATF is the recommended oil for LT77 gearboxes as Ormus says. Your gearbox man should be the expert - try it, if it's low then it could make a big difference especially if it's just a worn gear, I'd be inclined to replace the oil entirely, that way you will see if any 'bits' fall out with the...

Could also be anti-roll bar bushes, top shock mounts, steering damper/mounts or one of many other steering components. Jack her up and wiggle things!:eek:
