my auto electrican suggests there has been a recall for this, not sure how much truth is in it. Water leaks through a hole behind A Post? don't take this as gospel but someone might confirm this, unless its coolant that is.

yeh i see what your getting at, is there any adjustment anywhere at all? the fact it lops to one side is the same as when a shifter in a clio is badly adjusted and can't select the end 2 gears.

I will probably buy that, is that going to tell me how to solve this problem though? as that what im really looking for.

Not sure i bought it as salvage. The fact its had water in the turbo for about a month, is this likely to have nackered it? as i say no play in the shaft and spins ok....

Just bought a water damaged 2.5 DSE, Turbo was full of water and on closer inspection is also very oily inside, is this oil normal? there isn't any play in the shaft, but i feel it might had blown the seals or something, is there any way of testing this? If i need a replacement are the Omega/BMW...

my car arrived today, needs a new engine, however if you let go of the gearstick it immediately moves to the left instead of staying in the centre. The gearstick won't move further than half way across so can't select 3rd or reverse? seems like its the selector rod/cables (not sure what this car...

Thanks for the info. The car arrived today. Totally flat battery so currently charging her up. All seems OK. Powered the interior electrics up for a sec on a very low power battery and hevac screen is ok, so thats good. Ill let you know how i get on and ill probably have a million questions...
