hi guys, have a bit of an issue with the shifter in my p38 manual diesel. Basically the lever sits over to the left and everything is slightly over to the left. when in 5th the gear lever looks like its in 3rd, and when in 3rd it looks like its in 1st, 1st is getting what seems over time harder...

i think its the same as what mine does, i think its just the dual mass flywheel to be honest, as you take your foot off, it takes the strain off the spring in it and it clunks back to where it was.

mines a bit of a pain to select first sometimes, better to go to second then up into first sometimes. not sure if its the selector setup rather than the clutch/gearbox though.

i tried wd40 and cleaned the key up with a tissue to remove any dirt. would have thought if it was the key at fault it wouldn't work in the door lock.

for me, even if they fit perfect they look ridiculous. just trying to be something its not, dated lines and everything else with a modern front end that will add almost no value to low value cars is money down the drain imo.;) just my opinion.

just reset it and now its saying im doing 49mpg. clearly an error somewhere along the line, as 2.5 tonnes doesn't do 49 mpg lol

anyone know what to suggest, my dse manual is showing 40mpg on the trip computer, what would cause this? im assuming its a fault otherwise i wouldn't complain ;)

ive got an identical problem. Mainly noticeable in higher gears to me, when you press the accelerator a small amount get a shaking through the stick, bit like when you put a normal car in too high a gear going too slow. cant decide what it is. Thought i might get the timing checked.

check the air gap on your abs sensors, very common problem them lifting out.

diff lock?

depends how much money the dealer has in the L322, they will just get sent to the block anyway, will even lose a bit of money on the P/X's sometimes if they have good profit in the car they're trying to sell.

so can i install the flip up type one in my empty cubby box? and what parts will i need? any ideas on Part numbers from land rover?
