Sounds ok, but make them give you the money upfront!

you will need to raise all 4 wheels to rotate 1 or you wiil be fighting the VCU. disk rotors will always wear a lip, have them skimmed if you feel they need it. not sure how easy it would be to change to vented disks?, has it been done before??

Put new bulbs in and check your brake and park light fuses. pretty sure this will be your problem.

have you checked your breaklight bulbs???

someone has posted the same problem a while ago, cant remember who. but the problem turned out to in the brakelight bulb- fillament for breaklight had broken and fallen onto fillament for park lights. change your breaklights and see what happens. Aussie

sounds like your pads have gone, chuck a new set in before you damage your rotors.
