Banter / Misinformation - where do you draw the line?

I dunno, I haven't seen many outright bullies here. TBH, there are sensitive areas, but if you read the forum, you'll get to know the unwritten rules and learn to avoid them.

Newer Range Rover: would you go for RRS or FFRR?

not sure. I kind of like the sport, but isn't it more of a Disco underneath? And it's smaller inside than you'd think. However, the FFRR is just too big. Too ostentatious. One of the reasons I bought my P38.

    A/C Condensers - easy fix?

d'you know, I bloody searched for that! Maybe it should be a sticky? Excellent, btw.

    late p38 or early l322

That would be my thinking too. Also, there is far more experience of the P38 in the enthusiast community. Problems are well known and are able to be diagnosed quickly. The newer vehicle is less well documented.

Banter / Misinformation - where do you draw the line?

    1. look at the owners experience here, work out if this is the place for you 2. buy LR 3. introduce yourself politely 4. when you eventually have a question, search, then ask it politely 5. expect a bit of banter :)

    Insurance for 17 year old

it used to be that the vehicles' insurance group was set when the car was new and never revised. Hence, a 1964 mini cooper S still has a relatively high insurance group despite struggling to beat many shopping trolleys to 60. Your old landy will have had its group set before 1961, when a landy...

    A/C Condensers - easy fix?

    they're not too expensive either.

    A/C Condensers - easy fix?

fantastic, thanks! I should have known from the audi, but I thought LR might have done something creative with it. The car is still at the garage so I couldn't just wander out and have a look. The next step is to gas it with a red dye and look for leaks. If the condenser is at the front, it...

    A/C Condensers - easy fix?

Evenin' all. So, after having the book symbol on the display since I bought it, Thunderbird 2 finally went into a local a/c place to check the system for leaks. And predictably failed to maintain pressure. The diagnosis is yet to be made, but it's either a leaky hose, or condensers. Or maybe...

binding brakes now abs light on,brake warning light on (amber) ,and hdc inactive

could just be crap on the piston - won't let the piston return. I had the same on my audi after a number of years.
