    I'd check the filter first, cheapest component, assuming it has one.

    Disco 300tdi fuel problem... lift pump?

    Some camshaft driven lift pumps will pump nothing through the primer lever if the camshaft is in a certain position. Might still be the pump but turn the engine to a different position and try again to confirm your diagnosis.

    300 abs light on.

    It's only a black art when it gets into the ECM and the silicon chip takes over. Basically an exciter ring on the hub will generate a current in the wheel sensor as it turns, the faster it turns the greater the current and this information is sent to the ECM. When you press the brake the ECM...

    300 abs light on.

    Have cured loads of faults on trucks just by removing the wheel sensors, cleaning and refitting them, the vehicle then has to be driven, usually only above 5km/h or so, to clear the fault. Don't know how easy this is to do on yours but might be worth a try.

    Discovery Alarm

    Just bought my first Disco a 300tdi Dec 94 model, i was pleasantly surprised to see it has an alarm fitted but no remote key fob. So should it have one, and if so how do i go about getting one bearing in mind i have all the original paperwork but no key numbers.;

    noisy clutch

    I fixed Rovers for the RAF for 15 years and even came across Land Rover saying 'officially' they cannot make and i quote " a soldier proof engine". I agree entirely about changing parts even if they have some life left, seen so many false economies which you know are going to come back and bite...

    noisy clutch

    Quite true, any decent self respecting owner will insist if the box is out change the lot and any decent self respecting mechanic will insist on the same. To cast no aspersions on anyone sometimes these things are not done, i was merely trying to help this chap with some diagnosis, having a...

    noisy clutch

    Sounds more like a release bearing or spigot bearing in the flywheel. The clutch pedal on a range rover has an eccentric bolt where it pushes the slave cylinder, you turn the bolt to adjust free play and pedal travel, don't know if it is the same on a disco . Might be worth a look.

    Heater (94' TDi)

    Check the basics, is the engine getting warm enough? If it is check if the heater control valve is opening all the way, is the heater matrix blocked or does the matrix need bleeding. Having said that i had a classic range rover which had a terrible heater which i never managed to get working...

    Diesel Burning Heater

    It depends on the control panel for the heater and i admit i have no idea what it looks like, but in the truck world quite often you can fit a timer switch in place of the old one. I have one on my wrecker and it's lovely for these early morning starts. Try this link...
