JUST A FEW PICTURES FOR ANYONE THATS INTERESTED, THIS STARTED OUT AS A SMALL HOLE AND HAS TURNED INTO A WINTER PROJECT! THE PILE OF RUST WAS A PASSENGER SIDE OUTRIGGER AT ONE TIME, THE NEW OUTRIGGER WAS FABRICATED FROM 3MM STEEL, NOT MUCH MORE DIFFICULT THAN BUYING A READY MADE AND FITTING...

Thanks for the reply, its hard to know whether the stuff is any good or whether it just needs putting on properly and as you say, and not washed off or whatever. Mine had loads of waxoil on but some places it had ****loads of rust under it or it had flaked of and rusted!

Hi there, just wondering if anyone has any good tips for keeping the landy chassis from rusting away below me, I have just fitted a new rear crossmember and a front outrigger to my 90 and was going to give it a coat of waxoil, heard somewhere that mixing waxoil with a bit of spent oil is better...

thanks for the reply everyone, I have been to the local dump and took an electric fan from a renault (not sure of the model, a small one!) and put it on along with the origional viscose fan. I hooked on the trailer and went for a run , when it started to get a bit hot I switched on the electric...

I need a cure for stress then

Hi, just wondering about my 90 2.5td, it gets a bit hot when towing although its not to severe if I nurse it along a bit, not sure if it could do with an electric fan instead of the viscose fan or what? Rad is good, waterpump is ok, any suggestions?
