Changing front discs - need help.

I have removed the bottom bolt with a 19mm socket, still struggling with the top one as it is awkward to get to. HOwever, i can seem to get the screw out that holds the disc brake to the hub. I assume it is normal and releases anti-clockwise? Is it just the two star bolts that need to be...

I didnt realise the TD5 was only the Disco 2, now I realise after a bit bit more research there is the 300TDI and the TDV4 or whatever its called. Im sure I could make one myself, but I can't be bothered when you can buy one for £50 and it would take at least a couple of hours minimum. My time...

    front disks and pads

I couldnt resist at £60 for front disca and pads, had it confirmed the pads are mintex and the discs from Brit Part, so a very cheap package and hopefully better than the standard stuff from Land Rover, the pads should see to that.

Cheers I thought they were, they havrnt replied to me yet on fleabay, but ill take a punt. I tried searching thirs ebay shop, they don't specifiy between the Discos so it must be generic for the 1 and 2, the 3's boot is a bit different though. Emoticons rule!

    front disks and pads

I just bought these too, fitting them this weekend, was going to get mintex discs and pads but they are £40 more, and they seem to be mintex pads on these ones anyway. Ill see how I go. Plus it means I can get the dog matt this month too without spending too much more.

Where did you get your 'connect to ipod' link from, and how much was it, wouldn't mind keeping the standard head unit? Does it take the place of the CD changer unit under the seat? Maybe ill just fit the ipod connector after all my cds are on my IPOD! Cheers for the reply lads.

New Discovery 2 TD5 head unit

I am looking at replacing my standard 990 head unit with an Ipod ready one with blue tooth telephone connection to the head unit so it plays through the cars speakers. My cd changer bounces but just want a single slot cd anyway, so that doesnt matter too much. I fitted a system in my old evo...

    How high is the discovery?

Ok, its 194mm to the roof, 198mm to the top of the roof bars, and 210mm to the top of the sunroofs when fully open, and the car does seem to raise up and down when setting off and parking, I also read a review that said it did this, by 20mm I think. Cheers all.
