Hi Adam Yes it if xied to the seat box with rails -the base pops off the rails. I will check the condition of the seat too as i've not looked under the waterproof cover! doh...

Thanks - i've tried 12 people in it on every seat and it still does it. When it's warmed up, only the slightest amount of pressure on the accelerator, just the weight of my foot, and the noise starts. Still not 100% convinced it's not just a rattle, but if it is i've no idea where it is coming...

No noise when idling really. I did the manifold gasket at the weekend and used a good quality one. It does sound tappety - i've checked them too and adjusted a bit. All the heads are there....

Thanks - it's a 300tdi. I can't feel any blowing at all. There is some oil on the rear of the engine but I think this is from the old rocker gasket leaking. So Annoying!

OK so it's back. I thought it was the manifold gasket, but alas, no. Not sure if this vid will work, but you can just hear it in the background. I was hoping it was somehting vibrating but it's really evident in the cab now when driving, especially around 3k revs. If i wind the window down...

I paid 3.5k for my '96 110csw with 130k. Ok it needs tidying a bit, but no more than about £500 worth. Expensive IMO
