I have been along all the lanes Accy. I have a 300Tdi 1994 Disco and have never had a problem. Mine has a standard front spoiler thing on it. Will post pic now.

Hi Al. 200Tdi's are pretty bomb proof, but a bit agricultural. the 300Tdi is a slightly more refined version but both put out the same power and torque. I bet there is no shortage of decent places to go off roading in Canada. :)

My suggestion would be to get a Haynes manual and have a look in there. I have replaced all sorts of bits on my Discovery including suspension parts etc. Hardest part is usually freeing seized bolts. Most stuff is pretty straight forward, and the bits from aftermarket spares companies and...

I just replaced the alternator belt on my Disco with a shiny new one as the old one was squeeking all the time. Took 10 minutes and I only needed a 15mm spanner.

Yep. Sounds like the head gasket to me. Need to get the system pressure tested to be sure, but if there is pressure build up in the expansion tank then I would say the gasket has gone. :( If you change it make sure you check for cracks in the heads as well.

Best bet is to search the magazines. Most are just full of ads anyway. Britpart and Craddocks seem to be the big players in aftermarket spares. Also Rimmers.
