    how can i tell if

Pos.. Is my advice right for a TD5?? I too am slightly lost with the foot thing? Have an assistant rock the wheel back and forth whilst you hold the lever in the diff lock position, lack of use could make it a bugger to engage but very unlikly. Once it seems to be in release the lever and try...

I think the seats you can get from exmoor trim? can come fitted with a self contained seat belt kit. I believe you just mount them to the top of the wheel arches and should come with spreader bar kit to make them firm and secure.. Lee

Im more old school landrovers but your welcome to try this out..I think it will still work. Jack up one front wheel just so its clear of the ground. with the hand brake on, in neautral with the diff lock OUT the wheel should rotate. Now put the diff lock IN and the wheel will still move but...

Have pity - help a newbie please!

A 110 would suit the job fine, if you buy a van version you could fit some forward facing single seats to accomodate extra pax if needed. They are always for sale from shops in the landy mags. these can fold up when not in use, the only concern would be if the bikes where too tall for the rear...

    I think I have a major problem.

Which daihatsu lump are you running? is it def a 2.5 (inline fuel injection pump) or 2.8 (rotary fuel injection pump). There is a breather that runs down the sider of block for excessive crank case compression, causes could be worn bores or maybe a failed head gasket. Head gasket failures are...

    Emissions - MOT

The old series 3's we had in the army used to struggle with the emmisions as they stood at tick over for ages. A quick fix to the problem and to give it a bit of a combustion chamber clean was to run at a high tickover and pour small amounts of brake fluid down the carb choke, whilst pouring...

    brake efficiency

pop the wheels off and check the condition of the brake pads.. with age and use they can go brittle and lose their effectivness. check the disc's for excessive wear or pitting and grooves. when was the brake fluid last changed, should be changed regulary as again with age it gets contaminated...

    back dif fitting

What is the problem? wont it go in. does it only got in so far? Dont quote me, but to fit a salisbury diff you need to spread the diff casing with some special tools? i think? Some one will hopefully confirm or deny it, there are two holes in the casing that are jacked apart?? Lee
