You could also have an alarmed becm ,if it has alarmed its self it will not accept an eka code or access to the becm diagnosticly.Email me at k.newton2@ntlworld.com if you need any more help..........

Are all the doors unlocked by entering the EKA Code?

I did the same when i fitted a new engine,did not line the oil pump drive up properly...
