You can wind it in so there is no threads left exposed.! I ended up cutting 5 mm from the end of the actuator then winding in to get a bit more, with all the pump tweaks as well she really is V8 eater!!:D

Yes offcourse it would. especially a modified 4.6...:D But fook me they like a drink... I do love the sound of the RV8 and they are very light units if petrol was back down to 40 - 50 p a litre I would have one again, as my Landy is a daily driver a derv is the only option for me. RV8 are not...

Speaking from experience I have had lots of success tuning the tdi motors to outperform the V8. Couple that with being reliable off road it's a no brainer.

Actually the RV8 model is lighter but as said before power quoted is not the whole picture.

My 300tdi puts out an steady 150hp, try putting a RV8 with a stated 182hp on the rollers...you'd be lucky to see 100hp lol. Don't get me wrong I like the old RV8, had a few, they sound lovely but they ain't a patch on the 200tdi and 300tdi.
