Hi. The Mrs's 1999 'V' 1.8 petrol Freelander has not been used for a couple of weeks & upon starting it, it now has a top end tap.. Sounds like tappets. Is this a easy fix or is it going to be expencive? Many thanks for your help. Ian.

I want to waxoyl the chassis on my 90. I was thinking about buying the starter kit & extention nossel with 2.5ltr tin off ebay for about 30 quid. Im sure 2.5ltr will not be enough, how much will I need to do the job? :confused: Any hints or advice will be appreciated. Thanks Ian:)

My Td5 having covered 105k feels a bit 'loose' so I was thinking about tighnening her up a bit by fitting a polybush kit & new set of gas shocks & springs. What I was wondering was if its a straight forward job replacing old bushes for new or do I need any special tools etc? Thanks Ian :)

I found the problem. Somehow water had got in the box under drivers seat & had corroded the yellow relay. Stripped the affected wire, made good & started straight away. I found another issue though whilst I was under the driver seat & that was oil running down the loom to the ECU so cleaned it...

I do hope someone can help. I turned the key on my 99 'V' Defender this morning & first thing I noticed was the glow plug light didnt come on & fuel pump didnt make its noise, turning the key further just turned the engine over. It isnt firing at all. I have checked all the fuses but all are ok...

Untill reciently it was intermittent. It would either go on or off just by going over a bump but the other day it went on & stayed on & hasn't gone off since so I just presumed it was a knackred switch.

The diff light is permanantly lit on my 99 'V' plate Td5 so I'm guessing its the diff lock light switch. I have seen one on ebay for sale, could anyone tell me if its the right one for my car? I have tried asking the seller a Q but has not got back to me. the item number is 220198301735 Many...
