I had quite a bit of work done to improve the performance i.e uprated inter-cooler, full through stainless exhaust, egr removed, silicone hoses fitted and a K&N air filter after this lot was done WOW what an improvement in performance. Trevor.

Hi, Regarding the towing part of your thread I tow a large twin axle caravan and generally I get around 25 mpg with my 1998 Tdi, they do suffer with a slight lack of power for the larger hills (but I think most vehicles do) when towing but with a few small mods this can improved. Trevor.

I am sorry to say this but it is a common problem with these head units But as far as I am aware you cant fix them. When mine did th is i tried to get the original fixed but with no luck so I ended up getting an aftermarket head unit. Trevor.
