ok pay day friday, new coil, leads, and fuse box, fingers crossed, and i didnt realise that mines has always had a slight scent of electrics burning, like the old zx spectrum overheating smell

fuse box did smell a wee bit burny yest right enough, though they normally do? is it a big job swapping it over ?

still stuck !, found out fuse 26 had blown, it kept blowing, took out the coil and one of the new ones i had fitted had blown appart and the gunk was touching another coil, i assumed thiswas what was blowing the fuse, took coil out and put the bad coil at the very end so, got it fired up vvv...

mines is a jap import and dosnt have an eka code,

it wont turn over at all,tried jumping it made no difference,, it has been spluttery for a wee while, neg term was a bit loose on battery but this hasnt helped, when it cut out it did say alternator fault , would this indicate cps ? cheers

everything else is in order, i will try that trick, was vvvvv close to using the claw hammer on it think the tourists all around put stop to that, just as well wasnt in a wee lane, these p38`s are good and soooo bad , like a love hate thing with it

My p38 has had a coil conversion but is on original shocks, one rear shock is away and the whole things feels like a rowing boat, can anyone suggest good shocks, that go with coil springs, i was looking at konii heavy track has anyone used these ? regards

i had exact same problem turned out was my fuel pump,you 100% sure your getting a spark ? , check your fuel rail bleed valve depress that and see if the systm is pressured, yours is probably electronic but mine was the same and i was shocked that is was the pump

turned out was the fuel pump, garage wanted 250 for a new unit but i managed to get one online for £110 all being well should be back on tuesday though i bet there will be more problems the usual
