Nice going! I think people forget that airbag failures abroad can be a costly repair. They've never let me down on this D2 but have on others... just when I least expected it. As nice as they are, I'd trade them off for peace of mind any day with regular springs. Oh and BTW, the ACE was removed...

Er... yes.... typo.... 70mph ...:cool: I'll check when it's less cold outside ... ;) I actually bought the rims with the tyres already on so had no say on the profile.... but yes, if I had to change them, I would go for a much bigger profile. There's certainly enough space in the arches.

Yes... the shuddering has been with the car for over 6 months.. Hasn't gotten any worse. The wheels were just done a few days back and there's no difference....it's not any worse.

The rims are 20 inch. The D2 drives just fine. No real difference in the quality of the ride. Stable at 90mph... No off-roading on this unless I revert back to my Comets which still look good on a D2.... One day I'll change back. No offence taken gstuart:).... It's not for everyone but I like it.

Mostly covering the bases.... although I have an engine leak and that coolant that's going somewhere... After living with a D2 (as unreliable as they can be) in extremely hot weather, I'm used to preventative maintenance.... I didn't want t get stranded in 50 degree heat.

D2's are not the best of 4x4's to use in deep soft sand... even with the tyres deflated. It's a heavy beast. The jeep had every upgrade and with those tyres and being lightweight, it never got stuck... hence pulling me out of the sand with a quick accelerated pull. The number of times I beached...

That's what I was thinking.... it's how I've always instructed the indi's and tell them what needs doing and checking ....but this is my first TD5 so a bit unsure...
