Haven't done that much forumming at all recently MHM. Been doing a whole heap of laning, snapping and writing about it and also establishing a new business. Also doing the H4H European Rally in a couple of months and managed to blag a Disco 4 from LR in which to compete.

High Wycombe / Stockenchurch area - any routes suggestions?

The Stokenchurch gap is quite easy local and scenic. 3 lanes each way and you can see for miles northbound on the M40. Of historic interest the tarmac between Jncts 6 and 7 was the location of the first motorway trial of porous asphalt.:) Some days you can see 20 or 30 red kites wheeling above...

    Electric or hydrolic winch?

It would be on a separate circuit and not plumbed into the steering system - therefore it could be any pump. The simplest solution is to either add a mechanical PAS pump in the place an A/C compressor would go. Or replace the LR PAS pump with a ZF74 PAS pump and pressure relief valve to...

    Electric or hydrolic winch?

You can use an electric PAS pump from a car instead of a mechanical PTO or ZF74 pump.

    Electric or hydrolic winch?

Yep - just use a simple hoist remote. YouTube- Seven Sisters winching The hydraulic vs electric question doesn't really have an answer. Hydraulic has no run on, is simple, doesn't cook plasma rope, can lower out reliably, it is quiet, powerful and low maintenance. Electric is cheaper, faster...

    salisbury plain piccys

Those trees top left is the Fox Covert and we're both referring to the same area whatever its called.:) For clarity, I said that groups have been P&Ping there, increasingly over the past few years by taking multiple runs through the soft ground and cutting it up. It's a right to drive...

    salisbury plain piccys

Not disputing the right to be there, just going back for another go on a byway accelerates damage. The lane past Fox Covert drop zone in the two dips has been deeply scarred with multiple tracks in the past 5 years by folk using it as an impromptu P&P. Its possible to drive along the lane...
