Unplug the ariel from the rf reciever, I have a 51 plate with the latest reciver and still had problems, just means you have to hold your remote close to the rear drivers side window for it to be picked up. but as mentioned above it sounds as if it had lost synch. get a synchmate as recomended...

Small amount is normal thats why there is a magnet in there to catch it

I had mine done last summer by my local mobile aircon fitter he sorced one and fitted it for less than the price i could find one for. They know where to sorce them cheaply might be worth a try.

First thing i would do is clear all the faults then read them again just resetting could clear the problem.

as above if one button is working but not the other try a refurb kit from fleabay they are only a few squid, it sorted my one and only key out fine and its still ok over a year later

Personally i wouldnt bother repacing the RF i have a 2001 wth latest RF and still get problems. as you say just live with the wire disconnected.

i have a 2001 with latest reciever but still get this. IMHO upgrading the reciever makes feck all difference. Put your location in your profile captvx and someone near yu may have a synchmate to come and get you up and running

I did the same and the excess exits somewhere at the back of the wheel arch. Funnily tho mine will alwaays end up about an inch and a bit below the max mark on the tank however careful i am. Fed up now with people saying "you need to top up your coolant"

A bargin for someone with a syncmate and a couple of hundred quid to fix the rest

Just came across this site. Home I know there is a divergence of opinion on here about DIY Lpg conversions but if you ignore those parts of the site there is some useful stuff explaning the way LPG systems work and even articles about servicing and tune ups.

another possibilty Dk although its the same on gas and petrol. Did it again today, seems to be worse when its cold.

my other car is a t5 it puts out 10hp more than the v8 but in a totally different way, dont think it would suit a rangie

Thats a distinct possibility Rob i will check it out when i get time. the fact that it comes and goes would suggest it could be a hose split which only opens up sometimes.

had a funny problem last night, it did happen a while ago then seemed to disappear. Started up ok drove off and it switched to gas ok after a few seconds ( its setup to switch at 2000rpm) got about a mile down the road and noticed that when i backed off the gas, going down a hill or something...

Thanks irish but the problem i have is that a previous owner has removed the breather completely and blanked off the threaded hole in the rocker coverand bunged up the end of the hose. I want to get it set up properly again as ive heard it will cause a sludge buildup otherwise. i have no idea...
