Ive said before that this happened to our Focus, turned out to be the throttle pedal! Get a diagnostic check done, see which fault codes come up, and go from there!

Mine has gone in the same place, will have it plated when i get round to it, your not alone!

Yeah got the same issue with mine, 200 tdi, will turn over on the first turn for a few days, then it will take several attempts, starts ok in the end, but i dont get a click when you turn the key ! I was wondering if it was the ignition???

Had a look in relevant place, but there are no red/white single wires there! Had a good old root around but still nothing ! Must be a different loom i'm guessing..Sorry i cant be of any help . Rick...

I dont think its your ujs, but i agree worth taking off and oiling, i had mine off tother day through tight and notchy steering every now and then, one way they were fine, other pretty well seized. To check the pump from memory, remove the fluid cap, and get somebody to turn the wheel from lock...

Changed the steering column to the correct way round this avo, made sure wheels were pointing ahead but for obvious reasons there was no point marking where the uj's aligned with the splines as they weren't going back the same way! collapsible joint no longer fouls on the inner wing and the...

Just read about a Landy owner who's speedo would flick to zero now and then, they had a new transducer fitted, this cured the problem for six months..... Just a thought maybe?
