Swore at it lots, engine still smokes to much, cannot seem to fix it despite doing everything possible.
Considering taking it off the road now and getting a defender instead.
Fitted new glow plugs, started it up, listening to the engine and looked at the smoke and need to redo the pump timing tomorrow/saturday. Then parked it back against the garage.
You can fit a vacuum pump off some other cars ( cannot remember which ones, despite being told the other day ) which is suppost to help the brakes and engine work better but i've never tried it. I will give it a go once i've got my mot sorted.
Wheel nuts look wrong to me, should only have a taper on one side and be flat on the other.
I'd change them out for proper ones, they don't look like they are on many threads either.
Can you take a wheel nut off and take a photo of it?
I need to fit all the new brake bits and the injectors when they come back from reconning. Then i might finally get an mot!
And finish fitting the radhaz kit inside, had part of it fitted for a while and it makes a difference!
Took the injector out and dropped them in for testing/fixing.
Then fitted another seat in the back and sorted out the storage in it. Just got to strip brakes down tomorrow too see what is wrong with them.
It is now out after some more hitting, popped out nicely in the end after a few whacks on the arm. Saved me going and borrowing some oxy to heat the bugger up!
Cheers guys!
Trying to get the passenger side track rod end out of the mounting on the hub as i'm replacing the whole track bar.
Nut off but i cannot get it out, i've just broken the ball joint splitter trying to do it!
Any suggestions?
thanks
