drain the fuel filter there maybe some water in there

sounds like you have made some expensive mistakes there buddy timings prob wrong engines most likely locked by a valve against a piston and your starter has been cooked but i could be wrong and hope i am

wow and i thought my old dog ( ahem n reg 300tdi disco was slow ) i can get her up past 90 mph and she will hold 70 longer than me lol and the engine n gear box are standard n well worn:croc:

if you have a pin lock that stands above the door card you can use packing tape down the side of the door to pull it up make a loop and hook it round the pin and tighten it up n pull it upwards

your grasping at straws mate get it fixed properly use this sh t as astop gap to get you home!

new exhaust fitted old was more colinder than pipe bit over rear axle was u shaped ie hole full length lol n it didnt sound loud or am i gettin deaf?

my disco 300 did this it was a hose that came loose between the turbo and intercooler and yes i got a wee bost to power that i thought odd , sounded like a scooby with a dump valve if you reved it just rite

hmm looks like i have it BAD no fuel at the filter and no resistance on my lift pump primer just koncked going up a hill the AA were there usual hopeless and down rite hopeless selfs 4 1/2 hours from first call till i got home some 3 miles away a new record of incompitance ! the aa said my lift...

i still have my cat but did the egr delete kit and on a run can get close to 38 mpg! however this was in touring mode eg not riping the tits out and sensibly using gears and trying to not do much more than 65mph and this on a ratty old 300td disco with 148k and a crunchy box on very used road tyres!

my old and very wise spanner monkey once told me there was a temp sender for my fuel system on a td engine seprate to the sender for the dash i dont know if this is true on a td4 but if so might explain a lot aparently it worked like a choke on an old petrol engine so enriched the mix when cold...

my thought is have you reset your imobiliser ? you should have a code in your hand book that you put in via the drivers door lock on 300tdi maybe the same system on your disco

door stuck maybe the wee spring in the latch you get em on ebay for a few quid and yer window sounds like the winder mechanism is on its way out you again can get a kit to fix this not these are not expensive so im told
