    Ah i was led to believe the d1 did not have a bonded screen at least not the 200,s. Ive seen several posts on how to fit them on here and involved string and washing up liquid ?

    After futher investigation today the whole system works for a few presses and the clutch bites. Then the peddle goes to the floor and the clutch is fully engaged.You then lift the peddle back up with your hand and it seems ok again?

    I want to remove upper a frame arms from chassis brackets and the bolts are pretty rusted up so a hex spanner is less likely to round them off than a bihex and it should give me better purchase on the nuts

    So (forgive me for asking what is prob a stupid question but I ain't delt with hubs / bearings before) in a normal situation what does prevent diff oil getting along the stub axle and into the bearing area ?

    Just a quick question as i am pretty sure i know the answer. Would a defective oil seal for a rear wheel bearing on my 200tdi cause the inner face of the brake disc to be covered with oil/grease.

    Ok thanks for that tip.Was just going to replace top mount and bearing to start with for about 60 quid rather than the shocks as well as they about 140.If i have to replace the shocks aswell at least everything should of been freed off recently so shouldnt be a big job.

    I am going to replace both upper shock mount bearings to try and get rid of the knocking over bumps.Everything else it could be has been eliminated.Is there anything else up there i should replace while i have it stripped down. Cheers

    Did mine last year.didnt support the body. I would fab up some new sill body mounts at the same time as if yours are owt like mine i cant figure out how to weld paper to metal.

    I did the sills on my 3 door last year.Replaced with box section .I didnt take all the rear panel off just freed off the screws and eased off the sealer to free the bottom of the panel. its an aly panel so if you are careful you can ease it out about 4 or 5 inch.As for the pillar you can buy...
