Got a set of new uj,s as well so going to replace those on rear prop just to be safe after all they were only £10 each. cheers

Well this looks like itmay be the problem.Got a full new front prop for just shy of £60 so put it on.Been on a short run and the vibration seems to of gone.Thanks to all those who gave their input.

Well going to pick up some uj repair kits this aft to eliminate them from the equation and see where we go from there. Fingers crossed

Thinking about things ive just replaced a leaking spill pipe on 2 of the injectors.Could the diesel that was leaking and dripping onto the front prop caused some damage to the uj's. Could it possibly of dissolved some of the grease ?

OK will have a look at them once i search to find what i am looking for.I know there is a bit of slack in props but thought that is normal.Would an iffy uj only show under load ? cheers for the advice

Started to strip down my spare rear axle off my 200tdi today and found this . Initially i thought it was a crack (its on the inside of the rear dif pan if the pic is hard to understand) but i now think it is where the 2 halves of the half shaft tubes were probably joined together in manufacture...

Any one in West Yorkshire got a front timing belt cover knocking about as mine is cracked think its err390 or may be hrc 2026 part no for a 200 TDI engine.Ta

That i have yet to find out . But forgive me for asking but if air was somehow getting in the system would this not be noticable when driving along and not just at idle ?

Is the pump in the injector good enough for me to run the injector unit straight from a bottle to try and rule out any tank , fuel line, lift pump and filter issues does anyone know ?

Cheers for that. Was puzzeled as the Britpart pump had 4 bolts with it and a 10 mm rubber spacer same as the gasket so on comparing it to the old one fitted it without the spacer.

No it was fine.I am pretty sure the lift pump was F****d though as there was no resistance on the arm and it didnt seem to operate the pin you can see inside that i assume must be attatched to a rubber diaphragm somehow.I am now wondering if i fitted the pump right ?

The whole fuel line from tank to lift pump is clear.Its beer line and has been in for 3 years. There are no bubbles up to the lift pump.

lol i played this game last year. Basicaly changed everything ball joints drop links arb bushes wish bones etc to no avail.Changed both dampers/ shockers sorted.I replaced the whole units top swivel mounts included seemed to make sense only doing job once.

Lol i doubt that loosing a couple of pounds/kilos will make much difference to a vehical that has the aerodynamic profile of a brick.
