About to buy td5 couple questions :-)

Where you based? I have a 2002 TD5 ES, mint condition with 91k on the clock. Not looking to sell, but if the price is right, I might be tempted to part with her, don't use her enough.

    rough as a bullbars arse

I had very rough wheel arch protectors. Used 1000 grit sand paper (don't forget to use water) and sanded them down. Far better now. I then used Back to Black applied with a paintbrush. Need to do a couple coats. Doesn't last long, haven't given much thought what to use instead. As for the...

Advise please on servicing turbo unit

I have the same year and had similar problems recently. I cleaned the MAF and MAP and sensors and seemed to do the trick. Takes a couple minutes, so maybe try that and see if you notice a difference.

Where do you find a good supplier of proper Bio? I'm down in Wimbledon, not much luck on google searches and wanna give it a try, maybe a quarter tank to start off with

    D2 Sitting Down on Slope

Hmmmm; a really annoying problem. Would it be the height sensors? They seem easy to replace from what I've read.

    D2 Sitting Down on Slope

I have a similar issue, only mine happens if parked nose up, or on uneven ground or if I sit in the back if parked and engine off. Happened all the time when in my road trip recently, but not since. I think it may be the height sensors.

Improving 300tdi mpg (the obvious and less obvious stuff!)

Any ideas if these changes will benefit a TD5?

Leaking roof - not the usual culprit, advice please!

I've read on the forum that some guys use liquid rubber; not sure of the product name though. Want to do some myself as a precaution for the winter

TD5 Low power (yes another one!)

Mmm. I can't seem to move mine, haven't tried using pliers yet.

    No power uphill

Well, I took a look at both the MAF and MAP sensors today- the MAP was heavily caked in black crap, so gave it a good clean with WD40. The MAF appeared ok, but gave it a spray at let dry. I did notice a bit of blow-back residue in the air intake that joins the MAF to the turbo, so washed that...

    Rear seat repair- help

That's just the problem, nothing is accessible, cannot even see the base cover. No screws to remove the back cover. Really tricky this one. Not eager to start touching the leather, don't want to mess it up.
