    diesel 2 1/4 bad head ?

Have you checked the block for cracks?? My original 2 1/4 had a 2 inch crack behind the starter motor, that lost a small amont of water all the time, took me ages to suss it out...

    Ex MOD 109 questions

Ello Mate :D I do indeed think we need a LR section on the BB site, methinks a PM to Rhino and we shall have some fun ;) I got a 1972 Series 3 SWB, some piccies in the gallery somewhere, have put a 2.5 NA diesel lump in it, still gutless, but great fun, bought mine for £500 on ebay, but...

    Shock absorber rubbers..

Noticed that my shocks are moving quite freely on the rubber grommets, in on side has almost gone completely, shocks aint leaking etc so should be good. In my infinate wisdom I bought a set of shock grommets from e bay, BUT they seem to come in 2 halves slightly cone shaped, is this normal...

    Am i mad

Dunno if its the same for cars, but on the Truck MOT its OK for an oil leak, so long as its minor, and not causing or give the tester reason to believe that it drips, think all wagon owners tend to crap em selves at MOT time! I know one guy who parked his unit on a housing estate, cleaned any...

Can you tell what it is yet???

I think the 2.25 has a vertical injector pump, that is driven fron the cam halfway along the block, and a 2.5 has the horizontal pump driven from a timing belt/chain at the front of the engine...:) I stand to be corrected.

Well.... Filled her up with oil, went for a 10 mile drive, bit of town and some fast (well for a Landy) bits, and nothing, no bang, no noise (Strange ones anyway) and no leaks when I got back, guess it was just natures way of telling to fill the fecker up with oil..... ;o)
