Does anyone know where I can get the flexible heater hose from the fan?? Mines split and Im freezin....

A lot of the Clutch places wont do $x4's in general, because of the weight restrictions on the car ramp/lift thingys. Mate of mine had a sod of a job getting someone to do his Disco clutch.

Try driving a 44 ton artic on 6 axles with a 45' reefer on, great fun, esp in London...:eek: Glad i only do 26 tonners now...:cool:

Was climbing up the long drag from M26 heading to West Kingsdown today, fully loaded at 26 tons, got to last but one roundabout and a Series 3 catches up with me, on the drag up i thinks he will come pst me so i can have a look at his series when he comes past, alas i was in 6th (Out of 8 gears)...

I have one and Im in Kent, BUT it is promised to someone on another Forum, if he turns it down its up for grabs... Its a 2.5 NA from a Sherpa, its a bit tired and could do with an overhaul while its out, downside is it wont be out of the car until end of April into May...

Will I have to bodge the Diahatsu exhaust to fit a series or is there an aftermarket one? Also roughly how much for the adapter?? Will the splines on a Series box fit the Diahatsu clutch??

Just been offered a 2.8 Diahatsu lump for my series whose 2.5 NA is showing signs of giving up the ghost soon.. Is this a fairly simple swap? or will new engine mounts have to be made/welded etc, will I need a adapter kits to fit a series box?? Im guessing that the Diahatsu box wont fit a...

Sorted... Checked all the terminals etc, fine in mild weather still sluggish to a point of wont start in the cold, bought another earth strap from engine to Batt, no change... So bugger it off to Halfords, biggest batt I could find 760 somthing or other, now the bloody thing spins so...

I fitted the 2.5 NA into my Series 3... There is something about here somewhere. No real problems, other than I had to move the oil bath air filter, and cut and raise the battery tray, bell housing all fitted as it should, as did engine mounts. So engine wise it 'should' be a straight...

Having real probs starting the old girl lately.. Bought a new battery as old one was giving up the ghost. Fitted new one Ok for a couple of days, now she wont start again, turns over very slow, battery leads are getting very hot, no loose connections at either Battery or Starter.. Even...

Good thinking. Its an oil bath one, did change the oil recently but not sure how to clean the filter part so left it alone...

As the title says... My 2.5 NA is chucking out a lot of black smoke, not too bad during daylight, but its like a smokescreen in car headlights at night.... Pos causes? Methinks maybe injectors are shot. What other things could it be, using oil but not at any rate.. power seems variable one...

Have to confess Im not sure, I was given it, when my old starter went bang, guess it must have been a diesel one to cope with the 2.5, though it is a bit sluggish...

Charles... I put a 2.25 starter on my 2.5 (Sherpa) wiv no probs, thought they were all the same...

Well Im back, got rid of AOL and now on Sky... London to Brighton.. Great meeting loads of folk at Crystal Palace, set out in good spirits for the run, first clutch slave started leaking, followed by a wheel bearing ceasing up just south of Pease pottage, so the old girl was recovered home...

IF you can take something small from the Landy, take it to Homebase, they can match any colour with a special machine, which can then mix that colour...:)

Why go to all the agro, rub down, prime, paint etc.... DULUX gloss, apply with a foam roller, good finish, who gives a toss if it gets scratched down a lane/bog, just repaint. easy... And Yes I did do mine wiv Dulux....
