    Timing Marks....

    Has anyone got any pics or diagrams of timing marks for a 2.5 N/A diesel.. I should add this is a Sherpa version, so I think the timing cover is different than the Landy, but would hazard a guess the marks are the same.. Want to replace con rod bearings and piston rings, so might as well do...

    speedo cable??

    The one on my series 3 did not unscrew from the speedo, its a sort of clip, difficult to wxplain but easy to do... First cable I had was all over the place for speed, used to bounce between 40 - 60 when I was doing 49ish never oiled that one. New one hung it up and ran a mixture of 3 in 1...

    I think I have 11 leaves on the front and 9 on the back... Soaked em in oil, loaded landy up with scrap steel and drove like a t**T for a while, still stiff but better...

    no, just the rear wheels apparently.. But all four turn when going uphill such as all wheels spin in forwards in the mud..:confused:

    Will try to post a piccy of my hubs tomoz. BUT I have no means of locking them? Now did a downwards slope off road the other day, Low 4 wheel drive, not touching brakes etc, as i went down slope, rear wheels lost grip, and not holding from the front... very graceful slide to bottom of...

    I had the same when I fitted my 2.5 NA, temp gauge went way off the red, yet engine never boiled, really did my head in, ran with no thermo, still did it, changed sender etc, bit better, but not right..... Went to Halfords and bought a temp gauge, that showed the actual temp, wired it in...

    Bleedin Brakes!!!

    The brakes on my series are still pretty grim, but good enough to pass the MOT yesterday (With flying colours!) So methinks bleeding them again with fresh fluid might help.... Now what is the 'correct' was to do a series, ie, slacken em or dont slacken em all, then bleed fronts first...
