I am having a pit whether she likes it or not!!!!!!! :) I have Torx sockets but no long reach socket that big.....I have an aluminium tube I use for trailer bearings that might do it. Failing that I will speak to my mate up the road and see if I can use his lift and tools :)

I think I will call them and see if I can get a better deal off eBay so they have no fees to pay. Its a pain in the backside because now I have to pay labour and be without the car for another day!!

Roger that Grayo seen them selling on eBay. Why would the guys at Bell tell me otherwise if that's the case. I thought they were too cheap to be any good!!

The 1st new VCU I had fitted (2wd one) was only a couple of weeks ago so I would have thought no heat would have been needed this time at least. The front prop was/is brand new 2 weeks ago the rear is the original. Will have to investigate if they are damaged in any way.

Vibration and drone.........That's my symptoms exactly!!

The bearings themselves are new apparently.....Just pressed into 2nd hand rubbers. I think I am going to get some GKN bearings to see if that sorts it. Any idea where is the cheapest place to get them?

I have the BMW TD4, Bell supplied VCU with damper and bearings. Yeah Grayo that's the rubber I was talking about just wondering if it being a used one it might be causing problems.....But surely Bell would know if they were good or not??

Fair enough I suppose I should at least try the spare on each corner first before anything.

My problem is I have no recourse on the specialist now because I sourced my own parts so just wondering if they have done something out of spite now!!!!! Maybe just me being cynical!! Doesn't it only bolt on in one position? I cant see how a tyre can go faulty in an hour?? The...

I am convinced its not tyres I would have noticed it before.... I think I am going to bite the bullet and have 2 GKN bearings fitted by another garage and see how we go.

I had all 4 put on at the same time and there was no vibration up until the 2nd VCU change.

Only about 2 weeks Grayo....... I would be surprised if it were tyres when I drove it into the garage......Smooth.....Left garage........Vibrating!!

Oh and now my wipers have decided to stay in the vertical position on intermittent wipe!!!!!!!!!!! Great!!!!!!! New motor is it??

It seems really loud in the cab like driving over a rumble strip but the vibration is only about 1/4 of that!!!! Really annoying!!

Hi Ian I had a specialist do the work because they wanted their Bea**ont VCU back otherwise I would have had a go at it myself.....Hopefully they got it right!! :confused:

Hi I am not sure if I am being over sensitive to it now but I do seem to be noticing it at pretty much all speeds now I think.....But nothing thru the steering like an unbalanced tyre!!
