    Whats this leaking now????????

Thanks its on the near side/passenger side of the engine. No idea how long it has been leaking for. Its in the garage tomorrow so am going to get them to sort it. Is it about an hours labour or is that overkill?

    Whats this leaking now????????

Anyone tell me what this is leaking now I think it is where the drive shaft goes in on the near side. Is there a seal there or something? Expensive fix?

    Buying a TD4 do's & don'ts (2005ish)

I paid under £4K for my manual 2004 5 door sport with 77k on the clock with 12 months MOT and 6 Months tax. Needed a VCU and a foglight and a few other little jobs so for about £4500 I have a tip-top car........ always going to get more niggles in the future that need money spending on tho...

Going to be looking at my 1st freelander

In other words don't ride the clutch and don't run it on used chippy oil then. I have never ever had a problem with a BMW Engine.... Yes they do need to be maintained but they are so much more refined and produce more power. Perhaps I was a little harsh on the L series on reflection...

    L Series Stainless Turbo Hoses

You could be right but its worth a shot at drumming up some interest. Is it more cost effective to make them in sets of 2/3/5 like they do with the silicone ones?

    Meeooow.....

Talking of Cats........... Believe it or not I saw a Freelander hit a Cat on the motorway today its head came clean off I couldn't believe what I was seeing!!!!!!!:eek:

    Heated windscreen fault

Mine de-mists perfect on the driver side but only a few lines appear in the mist on the passenger side. Any ideas..... I have cleaned and copper greased chassis earths and jammed wedges under the glued/bonded connections to try sort it but no to avail. Any chance at all it could be a relay?

Can't argue with that sort of reliability I suppose. In my experience you either get a good car/engine or a bad car/engine no matter how much people rave about them.......Just try to avoid any made on a Friday afternoon or Monday Morning!!!!!!!!!;);) Look for service history (receipts not...

Look after a BMW engine and it will look after you.....Look after a Rover engine and it will stab you in the face in my experience!!!!!!!!!! TD4 is the way forward amigo!!

I went for the facelift TD4 because it is a BMW unit to be honest I wouldn't have bought one if it didn't have the BMW engine.

Worth travelling....... you can find facelift 2004-2006 models for under £4k I found a 2004 Sport with 77k for just under £4k. There will be a few 2004-2006 models with 100K+ in your price range especially if you are willing to take one with faults!!!! And remember Xmas is coming people need...
