    1987 RRC 3.5L efi starting/hunting/hot stall problems

Above vehicle has been off the road for a year due to welding then illness (both myself and RRC), in the meantime it developed a problem in that it will start from cold but run, hunting badly, for a maximum three minutes. As soon as any warmth develops it stalls and will not restart until it...

    Bad chassis earth?

As above. I dont know Defs so well, but other 300tdi vehicles had many earth problems. Sometimes leading to ad hoc earthing through handbrake cables and similar. With hilarious results. Well...maybe not so hilarious - flames, and so on. I put extra in earths as a matter of course, with new...

IIRC the headlight box is a complex bit of fab. The £80-odd that the boxes cost me was well spent. Again, IIRC, YRMs unit is kind of halfway between RRC and D1, so fits both, if imperfectly. lAlso, I dislike Zintec!

I have found YRM to be better than Easys. Its worth a look at some of the big LR factors, too. I did the inners on my RRC last year and the autumn before,: found a shop soiled wheel arch piece at Craddocks at a good discount. Paddocks were good for some other sections, the rest came from YRM. I...

L3, the smiley thing is not aimed at Norsey, you, or anyone in particular. It is just an offhand, passing observation on something that I am too old and boring to enjoy or join in with. That is probably me being jealous. I was trying to be humourously friendly, in response to Norseys comment on...
