I would try it with 200tdi gauge and 200 sender if you know the engine is not that hot. With any engine conversion I run the sender and gauge for that engine. I usually stick a capillary (mechanical) gauge in as well, with the sender in the top rad hose.

Buy a left handed glove and wear a thigh length boot?

Make sure there's no kinks in the pipe anywhere.

Earth is very important. If the gauge earths to the bulkhead, check bulkhead is earthed to chassis. And that earthing points are clean for good contact.

Gauge and sender need to be matched. What sender is in tank? change gauge to suit, or vice versa.

Update from me: Turbo feels fine, no excessive play. In fact hard to feel any play, tho my hands are numb with cold! Tiny miniscule amount of oil in lower turbo to intercooler pipe. literally one or two drops worth at turbo end. The rest of the pipe is clean and dry. I'm starting to think...

Declare everything! Mugs game not to and not fair to other people/road users and passengers in your own vehicle! Not forgetting that you would lose everything should something go wrong.

You mean change the engine number and fuel type with DVLA.

Will check turbo for play and if passing oil tomorrow, on going process of elimination! Have run injector cleaner and changed air and fuel filters, also looked for any leaks in fuel lines etc. Thanks J.M!

i would look at things like prop but it was fine before i took it off the road for 2 months to rebuild the 4 corners. i havent done any other work on the 90 so i think the problem is something i have done. can anyone help me. When was the last time prop uj's were greased? If they were dry when...

Make up a couple of out riggers out of some thick walled box section. Box off the end (cut plate to fit and weld in) and weld a load spreader plate to the other end to weld to the chassis.
