I am not sure if you can remove that trim under your radio? It is under there. I had the original radio in and I had to remove the radio first. Mine didn't have that trim but I suppose you can pry that off

Cool, I tried measuring the resistance but didn't get anything. Back to square one. Need to check at connector at the steering wheel now. I have everything working except the steering wheel control.

Cheers Nodge68, That is very helpful as I see the black/red and black/white one that I can see in my connector at the stereo. I will measure if they give the right signal.

I can't find it in RAVE, what are the colours of the wires from the steering wheel control?

Tea holders are a deal breaker for me! LOL Got the double din for my wife's hippo. I do love them double dins. I can't wait to see how you get the metal bracket removed and how the end result looks. I say it will make it look more modern, which I would like a lot!

The only thing I miss is that the rear window can't go down! I loved that in the hippo! My wife has the hippo still. I do quite a bit off roading and I am seriously impressed with the capabilities of the D2. only need to be pulled out only once up till now, I will be trying to get stuck...

Following, I decided against as I might loose the cup holders which are important to me ;-) I opted for the for a single din with foldy out screen, also android quad core. I absolutely would not swap back to original ever again.
