    Replaceing air with coils

Don't discount a coil conversion completely - I changed mine to coils this spring and haven't looked back The handling and steering response is far better than it ever was on air - I also regularly tow a trailer or a caravan with no issues at all It makes it more of a drivers car if you want to...

    kilometers speedo/mileage.

The caravans fine John - and my wiring seems to be holding out :D Not been on here much lately - can't seem to get a minute to myself, what with work and everything - not much sign of a credit crunch here ! (yet) Been away 4 times with the caravan since getting it in the summer so...

    kilometers speedo/mileage.

John, I've heard all sorts of stories about faults suddenly appearing after changing the BeCM to MPH - just an urban myth or any truth ? I can live with my odometer being in KM and the fuel consumption showing in L/100km - best not to know what MPG you are doing anyway ! Maybe if I...

I've got a Jap import P38 that had the speedo showing in kph All you need to do is change the sticker on the speedo face for a mph one Doesnt stop the digital odometer showing km though - but it does save having to dick about with the BeCM

    Fuel Stop Solenoid...

Having just re-read your first post, I missed a good opportunity there - surely 10-15 mph up hill is pretty good for a diesel ? :D

    Fuel Stop Solenoid...

I think the "should have got a V8" is wearing a bit thin now ;) Can't help you with your engine since it uses the fuel of Satan, but surely it's got to be worth changing the solenoid - they can't be that dear, can they ?

    P 38 Tyres

Tramlining isn't so much of an issue with 16" wheels/tyres - the bigger you go, the worse it gets !

    ***Running hot please help***

I'll second fitting a new rad - some recon rads don't last very long at all V8's HATE running hot - a new rad to try and cure it will always be your cheapest option

p38's are officially rubbish....dont ever buy one

It's funny - have a look at the "what rangie is best poll" and the P38 is miles in front (must admit I thought the classic would walk that, but never mind ) - it goes to show all P38's can't be bad ! As with most forums you usually only hear about the bad cars, of which I have no...

    P38 A/B/C Pillar Tidy Up

You can remove the worn "fuzz" on the pillars by taking them off and giving them a rub with a cloth/brush soaked in thinners - this removes the all of the fabric and glue underneath leaving a rather natty smooth plastic finish I have just left mine bare as I quite like the finish cos it's easy...

    Towing witha P38

Keep the tyre pressures standard and you will be fine Remember to isolate the air suspension using the switch on the dash so it doesn't try to drop to motorway mode over 55 mph in case this affects the handling of the caravan
