How can i tell my auto 300tdi has a spider or edc without ripping the dash out. It nearly conked out a couple of times today and sometimes it starts after a few turns in the morning, sometimes it starts first time. Im also getting a ticking noise which i am trying to get to the bottom of...

You havent said what Landy you have Kindwarf, as i have posted earlier i only know how to do it on a D1 im not sure it can be done on a D2. What year is it? what model. can you take a pic of the blue plug? Archie

Funny thing, even though the lights on, when I try the brakes on a loose surface, the ABS appears to be kicking in. Thats normal, mine does the same, 3 of the wheels work with the abs one doesnt it just skids. What year is you Landy.... if you pm me your email addresses i have quite a few...

On the early models (95 and before) there is a 16 pin socket just above the clutch, the wires you need are pin 4 Black and Pin 15 red/green. On mine though it wasnt red/green it was Black/Pink. Models with the 5 pin connector i dont know about. What year is yours? Archie

Did that with mine as well Stevo, it worked for a while then went alltogether. I tested the sensor with a multimeter and it was dead. The ABS lights still on, ive got to get a new sensor. Archie

You cant do nothing you just got to pay. You say to them why is it so high because its a very safe car to drive and they turn round and say "its not the safety its the damage they do to other vehicles" You just can`t win.

I blew 3 fuses a couple of weeks ago while messing about with the roof lining (a wire touched another wire blowing them), now the SRS light is on all the time, ive replaced the fuses. So any ideas how to get it off or is it a dianostic to clear the code. Archie

If you do the "Blink" test it will tell you the code so you can fix the problem, it will not knock the ABS light off, i did it on mine and got a 2-12, which is an air gap in front drivers side wheel. In other words knackered sensor. Cheapest i found for a sensor for a 1995 discovery was £62...

Did the mechanic crack the injectors to see if fuel was getting through
