Just a couple of presses I think, but I’ll check this out later. The relay error probably is historical to be honest. None of the parts are expensive so I intended to replace the front sensors and the relay.

Hi mate, no, never. If the ABS/traction lights are on they’re on from start up. This might happen a handful of times, repeatedly, then for days it’s fine and as soon as you move off and exceed c.5mph the ABS light goes out as it should. Sometimes the handbrake light stays on for a few seconds...

No I haven't done that, but thanks for the heads-up, I certainly will take a look. Many thanks again.

Dope....just realised this is a "plug-in" service only!! Should've gone to Specsavers!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255220228922?hash=item3b6c4fa33a:g:ZUMAAOSwr-hfGEfc This looks worryingly "cheap"...and appears to only cover the GEMS engine. I would assume that this is no good for the Thor engine with Bosch equipment...?

"...use your brain?" That's me out then. Well, I have looked at the prices on the website, and as "our" Santa is on minimum wage and hasn't been on furlough, I guess it will be next Christmas...but a worthwhile investment all the same.

A Swedish Series 3 brought back to life

My first Landy was a Series III that had been "restored" (for "restored" read "bodged"); loved it. Would love another one, but nowadays I'd have to remortgage the house to afford one....and I don't believe the Housing Trust would be too pleased.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question on the correct coolant to use in my P38 Thor - much appreciated! Now for another one! I have an intermittent ABS/traction warning light staying on; my local garage plugged the car in for me and confirmed a possible short between the front ABS...

Series 3 109 Station Wagon, full ground up resto and 88 redo careless resto driving project

Brilliant project - brave, I could never take on anything on this scale. Lack of a garage doesn’t help! Good luck and thanks for sharing a really interesting project.
