its running out of fuel, either the sender or gauge dont read correctly. my disco would do about 50 miles after the fuel warning lght illuminated, in contrast my rrc does 10 miles after the fuel warning light illuminates. dont worry about it.

look on top of sedimenter, you will find the head of a bolt(11mm spanner iirc) undo this bolt and the bottom half of the sedimenter will drop down. clean it out and refit with a new o ring seal if necessary. you might not get the bung back in, mine snapped, so i used a nut and bolt to blank off...

i have bought a series 2a lightweight, i know the purists wont like it but its got a coiler chassis and a peugeot diesel engine. does anyone know the car? it was built by the young offroaders in elswick, newcastle upon tyne in 1995, and then belonged to a gentleman in leeds circa 2010 before...

has a pressurising cooling system caused the rad to go? sounds like the original problem isnt remedied. but i had a cavalier about 20years ago that had 3 headgaskets before i found the pressure cap wasnt holding pressure. it would overheat at normal temps and dump coolant out of the header tank.

i'm going to use mine as an everyday car/van, for going to work etc. i'm only 2 miles from work so i can live without creature comforts like leccy seats and sunroof. just bought a heated screen though, cant live without my extra 5mins in bed.

ok, the rrc is too nice to get scratched. i cant live with it much longer its killing me keeping it clean and refraining from chucking engines and gearboxes in the back:(, roll on the 2a:)

my rrc is the same, towed my new series2a lightweight on trailer and it was down to 40mph on hills. ive checked the boost hoses to no avail. i'm going to blank the egr next, see if that helps. emptied the sedimenter last week, it had a bit of **** in it but not enough to cause a problem.

we need to meet, your version of english sounds very much like mine:) hope to play out when the lightweight gets mot, new engine and paint.
