    probably water has got into a connector, but worst case is water in engine. depending how fast you went through the flood, the intake is routed to the inner wheel arch. so water can be forced into the intake.

    you might get engines with bigger capacity displacement. but i dont think youll find many physically bigger than the daimler v12.

    it will depend on how fast the engine speed, anything over 5000rpm for a considerable time will damage the bottom end. the loss of oil and coolant doesn't bode well for the engine.

    How far can MOT testers go with probing for rust?

    corrosion should be tested using finger/thumb pressure. 1: avoiding personal injury to the tester from sharp edges 2: if any damage caused does not meet fail criteria it becomes the responsibility of the tester. basically what i was told when i did the VE course.
