    wet roof wet floor!!

So using a glue gun to re-stick the odd bit of unstuck carpeting lining my roof and load area isn't a good idea? Man, you shoulda said last week, I spent a whole 59p on new glue sticks and everything last Saturday in preparation! :D

    What to do ?

I have got a modern car mate, it's really reliable, fast and comfortable (I know, how boring). I pay for it and the wife drives it! Apparantly you fix it by plugging it into a pc. It will be a cold day in hell (or alternatively several tikka masalas and some 'favours') before she...

    What to do ?

Sounds like the guy is on an, understandable, downer and maybe needs the enthusiasm of the landy nutters to keep him from giving up. As someone who is just starting this journey with all the highs and lows that goes with owning/running an old landy, I expect my current enthusiasm to be...

Speeding - alas not Landy related

Ah, that story has been embellished. It is meant to be from East Lothian out my way, and the story was that the fuzz had a mobile radar speed trap on the A1 out past Haddington. We often get Tornado's fairly low, buzzing the A1. When the bored plod got a radar lock on the Tornado, the tornado's...

    Series 2a Convert Front end

Dunno, it was on it when I got it from the Father-in-law. I'm still torn between restoring it or not - it has to be said, that longer bonnet and front-end is pretty meaty looking. I might keep it like that, it's kinda unique and that's part of the appeal of Landys. More pics here, maxcribben...

    Hello, newbie here :)

Indeed, when in Rome and all that.... PS The Romans did give us sewers - without which I'd imagine cleaning the landy's tyres after a run would be even worse!

    Hello, newbie here :)

Well I've forgotten any latin I learned at school, but it's *possibly* a literal translation for I came, I saw, I broke-down - a wee play on the I came, I saw, I conquered. Now you just know someone with a degree in Latin is gonna come along and point out it's totally wrong!

Have to say that's how it's been so far, and I'm grateful that you all readily share your hard, sweat and tear-earned knowledge. Probably the friendliest forum I've joined in, well ever. :)

    Hello, newbie here :)

Lol! I've got a proper steering wheel to refit. Apparantly the owner prior to my Father-in-law was a tad rotund and needed the smaller wheel to fit in the cab!!

Well I've only really steered the beast into the drive, and it was fairly heavy. It's not quite as garish as the photo, the flash went off as it was really overcast and it's almost come alive!

Hopefully it will get the odd taste of what it was built for. I've got an inkling to use her for some camping out in the wilds, maybe take her over to some of the remote Scottish Islands.
