Not much really, I can rock it a few mm to either side. Probably worrying when it's not warranted, having seen how what is described as 'slight play' in the propshaft can rather quickly turn into a 'how the **** is it still in one piece' situation! :D

Don't forget the oil tanker following you around for when you run out of petrol. ;)

Good advice, I found a slightly worn 14mm socket (dodecagon not hex) did the trick, so have marked it with tape! Was relieved to see that all the levels are fine. Thanks!

Unfortunately this square bolt protudes out - it's not a socket.

Wanted to check the oil level in me rangie diffs, back one seems a bit empty. What spanner/tool do I need to remove the square plug/bolt? Ta.

My SIIa had a duff washer jet pump when I got it so I ordered one from Paddocks and replaced it. Pump works fine, scooshes water aplenty but nowt is coming out the jets. I assume they are just blocked with gunge. Is it safe enough to shove an air-gun on the end of the tubes and blow the gunge...

I saw a Defender 90 Cab/Rag Top with a roof rack - they had bolted an access ladder to each side of the pickup tub and used those as supports for the rear of their rack. Looked better than it sounds!

Not exactly the same engine change but I've just insured my SIIa with a 3.3 ltr perkins conversion and found heritage the cheapest, they beat footman James in my case.
