I got those carpet tiles for pennies hence using em, but they are fairly rigid, and a bit of a bugger when you try to stick 'em to the metal. Stuck a wee bit better on the fake wood front but your right, the corner does stick out a bit as it looks crap. Will have to tidy it up I think. Alas...

I just wanted to replace the old rusty bolts with new ones in metric so got some at the local tractor depo. I think they might be zinc-coated, not stainless - fecked if I know the difference. :confused:

Well that's the front propshaft refitted. Everything greased (including me - absolutely maucket), new nuts and bolts. Just the sodding rear one to do now, meh.

I wish. It took over two hours to **** the old UJ out the front propshaft - the circlips were seized solid. Even broke my Brother-in-law's vice in the process that's how stuck they were. :eek: Fettled down the wee burrs and wear on the propshaft sockets to fit the new UJ. Filled the cups with...

I cleaned up my propshafts to remove all the crud having soaked the UJ ends a few times to help with releasing them, and fettled the bolt holes a little to take the metric bolts (replacing all the imperial stuff as and when). Now just to figure out how to get the UJ's out and fit the new...
