    lambda sensors

Hi, I was getting a slight fuelling glitch at 40mph in top and I had a Lambda fault code , no signal received bank 1 and bank 2. It was suggested that I had a 'lazy' lambda, as the fault was intermittent I bought 2 off fleabay used for 40 squid the pair, they were meant to be off a 2002 v8 . I...

    v8 lpg

hi My d2 also has twin tanks and the guage is useless , often showing empty after 50 miles . as gav said best thing to do is reset trip meter abd drive til its run out. this will give you a better idea. What size tanks do you have? I have 2x 40l but this only gives 60-65 litre capacity...

    gear box tunnel getting hot??????

have you got sport mode on? my d2 V8 changes very quickly if I'm gentle on the throttle (I can get upto 4th by 35mph or still be in 2nd at 50) they are sensitive to throttle position. The gear change is more to do with throttle position than speed I think the torque converter locks at 50mph ish...

lpg how far to your tank

Hi I have twin 40 ltr tanks on a d2 v8 . as Teflon said that will be approx 64l usable tank space. I get around 17mpg on a 'run' and 11/12mpg running around. Thats not towing so you sound about right.

    self learning ecu?????

went back for drive around with the laptop connected and as we thought it showed both front lambda sensor faults, hence poor fuelling at low revs. the diagnostic light was a loose pressure switch connection (?????) 30 secs with a pair of pliers and it seems to be sorted . Hats off to Medway Dual...

    self learning ecu?????

well, the coil packs and leads seem to have solved the problem. I have been for a week in cornwall and running around about 1000 miles and it seems much better. 17mpg on the run down there and 12mpg running around whilst there .(on gas) I do still have a slight judder at 40mph / 1250rpm but this...

    self learning ecu?????

well i've collected the car and driven to cornwall with no problems apart from an unreliable gas gauge (80l tanks show empty after 80miles and then i can only squeeze 26l in) It drives perfectly on petrol and mostly fine on gas. I just have a judder at 40mph at 1400-1600rpm. if i change down the...

    self learning ecu?????

spoke to garage today and they tell me that the engine is running fine. they were doing the final set up for lpg and i'm collecting tomorrow. they say the shudder under load and the misfire is gone. it was reassuring to note they were connecting a laptop and taking the car for several runs to...

    self learning ecu?????

thanks 8 lets hope that the guys i'm using next week are as thorough. if not where are you? I have folks in devon and am in the S.W. fairly often how often should i be using petrol apart from on start up. Manual quotes 25 miles a month , is this enough? It has a small 25l tank fitted...

    self learning ecu?????

thanks Gavbiggs I'm going to replace packs and leads simply because you have to take off the inlet manifold to get to them. I'd be gutted if i changed leads and then had to do it all again for packs. my biggest problem is finding a landy specialist who will work on lpg as well and who has the...

    self learning ecu?????

thanks for info edge , going to lpg specialist next week , they are going to fit the coil packs / leads. I'm sure they are going to tell me to change the plugs as well despite them being new this week. I think lpg needs hotter plugs??? mini I'm not that technical but it could be the ride...
