Just a thought, but what are the safety implications using a child seat with static belts? I know nothing of children or their seats but was just thinking that the seats might be designed for inertia belts rather than static ones. Mind you, I don't know how many people still use the static...

it's 9 leaves I have on the front at the moment, Should be 11 as it's diesel. As to the winch, its a big heavy lump of 1960's engineering. Thats just the winch, there is also a fairly hefty PTO hydraulic pump and a huge oil tank.

If you have a cartridge type filter youcan pre-fill the filter with oil to minimise the period its running essentially unlubricated on its initial start-up. Obviously you cant do this with the older canister type though.

Is it not something to do with the voltage? Do series instruments not work off 10v and the disco/defender work off 12v, so the 200Tdi one under-reads because its getting less power? Might have a different internal resistance for some other reason.
