+1 on Britcar, been using them quite a bit this year .. very helpful and more importantly they stock/can get genuine LR parts.

Hopefully it'll compensate for car being idle in cold temps ... previous threads on here have suggested it helps ...

Study the Disco 1 workshop manual then you may be able to fit a thermostat (Genuine LR part) and re-bleed the cooling system correctly....

Ah LLanbabs, not been there in ages. We had some flooding/running water over here in Dyffryn Nantlle mainly due to drains not coping, nothing like in Llanberis/Rhostryfan though, sadly I missed it all as I was in hospital:(

I've had the same problems, battery, glow plugs, all wiring/earths checked ... then checked the fuel filter which was empty, fitted a new fuel lift pump & issues cleared up.

If you have AT2's? yes they will ... brilliantly unless it's too deep & soft (but all tyres would struggle then) and you of course you have enough tread left on them. I had GG AT2's on the Disco when we had those 2 snowy winters a short while back and I was one of a few cars around here still...

Discovery 200TDi 89 - 94/L reg. The headlights were smaller and surrounded by black plastic. Discovery 300TDi 94/M reg - 98 (a handful were registered on a T suffix plate. Larger headlights. Discovery TD5 98 - 1st incarnation of this model had headlight trims.
