Even after fitting a solar charger to the Disco's battery to help keep charge on what is now a weekend car ... after testing the battery tonight, it tells me I've either got a major drain on power somewhere or the battery is knackered. Given the fact that my landy has been the recovery vehicle...
No doubt someone will have better suggestions but personally I'd check the brake calipers for sticking piston's, wheel bearings, steering joints, A-frame ball joint, and that the tyre pressures are the same across the axles?
I might be a bit cynical but your post came across as a carefully worded advertisement ... if you do indeed have a nice shiny Disco then we'll all be most envious of it as we continually fight the rust in ours :D ...

As the others have said the engine isn't really considered "broken in" until it reaches about 242,000km. Regular oil changes and maintenance will keep it sweet for a lot more kilometers.
