If you've done both - and the compressor shuts off after 7-8 minutes, the pressure switch must be kicking in, which would mean no leaks on the storage side??

Have you done the compressor check or sorted the driver on the USB to get comms working yet? I'd be doing that before worrying too much about the airlines! If the compressor checks out OK, try running the car with the tailgate open - the compressor should shut off in 7-8 mins. If it doesn't...
